CleanLocs Inspiration | If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It

This saying rings true to me because of my personal battles with having locs. My mom and grandmother both disapprove of my hair because they believe that it looks "nasty" and that my natural hair is better. First I argued with them that 1. My hair is still natural and 2. Anything without perm in it looks nasty to them (was that rude?) but it's the truth. Now I sit silently and sip tea because I don't have the power to change anyone's opinion but at the same time they are just a small portion of the greater society view of what beauty is. Anything that doesn't fit the norm is exiled but I'm here to say that if we            (society) looked beyond the surface for beauty then we would be able to appreciate individuality.
