Whoopie made a comment on The View expressing that it is ok for a man to hit a female in self defense. A large group of people disagreed with her and made a big issue on social media.

What are your views on men hitting women?

I (Owyna) agree with Whoopie that if it's in self defense or if the woman feels the need to hit a man she should be prepared to be hit back.
